This is an ideal trip for those wishing to experience the Everest regions spectacular landscape without going to altitude extremes and whilst maintaining home comforts. Our trek is a perfect introduction to the Everest Khumbu area, perhaps the most famous region in the entire Himalaya. We visit Sherpa villages and Thyangboche monastery, which offers views of Mt. Flying in from Kathmandu we descend amid an incredible mountain landscape to the remote yet bustling mountain airstrip at Lukla. From here we spend nine days trekking from luxury lodge to luxury lodge.
This trek provides the highest standards of accommodation in the region, featuring electricity, comfortable rooms, en-suite bathrooms with hot showers and western styled flush toilets. We walk approximately six hours a day, visiting the main Sherpa villages and enjoying excellent views.
On our excursion to the famous Buddhist monastery, Thyangboche "The Great High Place", we will be treated to the most incredible views, Everest rising behind the Lhotse-Nuptse wall and the nearby Ama Dablam. At each lodge a warm welcome awaits us, our evenings are spent relaxing in pleasant lounges and enjoying the views while we eat delicious food in the dining areas.
