Classic Journeys have teamed up with The Peak Photo Centre to offer you a unique opportunity to visit and photograph one of the most interesting countries in the world, Morocco. Simon Watkinson (ABIPP), the director of the Peak Photo Centre, will be your photographic guide and tutor. Having visited Morocco several times, he knows the country well and with his 20 years experience of professional photography there will be plenty of time for tuition along the way. Simon will be on hand to advise you, enabling you to learn, critique, and improve your photography and photoshop skills.

With good lighting conditions, Morocco is a brilliantly colourful country, full of vibrancy, warmth, hospitality and spectacular and varied scenery. We’ll combine the history and natural beauty of this rich and fascinating country with many personal encounters in towns, villages, ancient Kasbahs and Berber tents, sharing our experiences while sipping mint tea: symbolic of the Moroccan generosity. You will be delighted and overwhelmed by Morocco's endless visual opportunities.
This tour allows the time a photographer needs in order to gain a fresh perspective of Morocco, its medieval streets, exotic souks, imposing mosaic gates and attractive mosques, while aiming to capture the charisma of Morocco’s hospitable people. In order to take in all the delights of this exotic country you’ll be under the direction of your photographic tutor, Simon Watkinson.
Simon will guide you round Fez’s medieval tannery, the archaeological site of Volubilis, beautiful architecture, colourful mosaics and ancient Kasbahs, vibrant Marrakech and the dramatic landscapes of the Sahara as well as introducing you to many cultural sights including, street scenes of daily life, the famous blue robed Berber people, shy veiled women and laughing children. We guarantee you will come home with a true insight into Morocco and a selection of stunning photos capturing its beauty.

On our Photographic Experience Tours our experienced photographic tutors will guide you and help you improve your skills in taking excellent landscape, travel and candid photographs. We guide you through the process of understanding your camera in a truly magnificent country. We will help you optimise the lighting in a variety of situations from colourful local markets and vibrant street scenes to magnificent panoramas. We would hope to cover the following:

Once you have taken an image, processing it correctly becomes very important. By learning how to use the variety of tools within Photoshop you will really begin to transform your photography. There will be tutorials on how to use Photoshop throughout the tour. We hope to cover the following:
Importing your images
Organising your digital workflow using Adobe Bridge and Adobe Lightroom
Various file formats and their uses
Image Manipulation, which includes cropping, curves, levels, colour correction, changing from colour to monochrome, selections, layers, adjustment layers, layer masks, stitching images to create panoramas, use of filters with layers, sharpening.

Single Supplement:
£150 (Hotels) If you are a single person booking this holiday you do not have to pay single supplements, if you are happy to share. If you are travelling by yourself you will be paired with another single client of the same gender. However your booking is accepted only on the understanding that if no roommate is available then you accept a single supplement will be levied. Single supplements are payable if you specifically request to have a room/tent to yourself. If you have requested single accommodation we will do our best to secure this although this may not always be possible.
