Ascent of Everest – 60th Anniversary

George Lowe
George Lowe, 89, the last surviving member of the team which was the first to climb Everest 60 years ago has died. George died at a nursing home in Ripley, Derbyshire on Wednesday (20th March) after a long illness.

TREKKING HOLIDAYS
 Classic trekking holidays in Nepal include Everest Base Camp, Annapurna Sanctuary, and Annapurna Circuit. Our Annapurna Luxury Lodge trek with accommodation in the very comfortable Ker & Downey lodges will provide all home comforts and fantastic mountain views. Our trekking programme also includes the highest mountain in Africa, Kilimanjaro in Tanzania and Mt. Toubkal, in Morocco.
PHOTOGRAPHY HOLIDAYS
 We are passionate about our photography and have been busy planning some amazing journeys for 2014. Destinations will include Nepal for our brand new Nepal Photography Workshop, Cambodia, Myanmar (Burma)
and India (India details available soon). For 2013 join professional photographer Simon Watkinson (ABIPP) on a photographic experience tour of a lifetime to Nepal for our Nepal Photography Experience visiting hidden Kathmandu and the Annapurna foothills.
WILDLIFE HOLIDAYS
 See our India Wildlife Journeys & Tiger Tours for a selection of tours in search of the amazing Bengal Tiger and India's fascinating wildlife. We visit Sri Lanka in search of Whales, Dolphins, Elephants and Leopards. Our journey to remote Indonesia & Borneo offers fantastic opportunities to photograph Orangutans and Komodo Dragons. Our tour to Ecuador & the Galapagos Islands is one of the World’s great wildlife experiences. Our Classic Tanzania Safari will provide limitless opportunities for superb game viewing and photography.

Galapagos Islands.
